A native of Greensboro, Georgia and a graduate of Greene County High School, Dr. Rhodes has been employed with Greene County Schools since 2005.  During this time, she has held the positions of classroom teacher, department chair, Dropout Prevention Coordinator and Learning Academy Director.  She  assumed the position of Assistant Superintendent in August of 2012.   

Dr. Rhodes began her career in education in 2005 as a social studies teacher at Greene County High School, and later became the Chair of the Social Studies Department in 2007. During a three year period, she moved the high school End-of-Course Test (EOCT) scores in Economics from 27 percent passing to 84 percent passing. One year later, her students scored 100 percent passing on this same End-of-Course Test. Additionally, Dr. Rhodes has served on the GCHS Instructional Leadership Team and Administrative Leadership Team, served as a member of the GCHS Committee for Instructional Improvement and as the faculty liaison for the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council.

As the Dropout Prevention Coordinator and Learning Academy Director, serving grades 6 – 12, Dr. Rhodes operated an evening school program, which served both students who reentered high school after previously dropping out of school and current students needing to recover credits for high school graduation. She also developed a summer credit recovery program, with 82 students earning more than 90 credits in the first year.

Dr. Rhodes received both her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Arts Degree from Georgia College & State University. She later earned an Educational Specialist's Degree (Ed.S.) from the University of Georgia and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. She also completed the Northeast Georgia RESA Rising Stars program, earning a Certificate in Educational Leadership from North Georgia College.

A recipient of numerous honors and awards, Dr. Rhodes has been the National Alliance for Black School Educators Teacher of the Year (2010); Georgia Council on Economic Education Teacher of the Year Finalist (2010); Greene County School System Teacher of the Year (2009-2010); Greene County High School Teacher of the Year (2009-2010 and 2007-2008).

A Greene County native, Dr. Brock, a U.S. Army Veteran and graduate of Greene County High School, began his teaching career at GCHS in 1993, where he taught U.S. History and coached baseball and football. Over the years, he served as assistant principal and principal at several schools throughout the northeast Georgia area before returning to Greene County as Principal of Anita White Carson Middle School in 2016. Under Dr. Brock’s leadership, CMS was named a 2019-2020 Distinguished Breakout Middle School by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals. In 2020, Dr. Brock was named a finalist in the GASSP’s Principal of the Year Program. One of six finalists overall, Dr. Brock was one of just two middle school principals to make finalist. 

In 2021, Dr. Brock was appointed Executive Director of Human Resources and Student Support Services. Under his leadership, GCSS has maintained an excellent retention rate. In the post-pandemic era when districts across the state and nation have struggled to attract and maintain qualified staff, Greene County has begun each school year fully staffed and experienced less turnover than other nearby districts. 

Dr. Brock has also served in the leadership of several statewide professional educators’ associations, most recently as the president of the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMPS) and an executive board member with the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL). 

Dr. Brock earned his doctoral degree and master's degrees, both in educational leadership, from the University of Georgia in 2003 and 2000, respectively. He graduated from Georgia College & State University with a bachelor's degree in History in 1993. He completed the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement in 2006, the Solution Tree Leadership Institute in 2007, and the Schlechty Principals Academy in 2009.
