Title I, Part C: Migrant Education

  • The purpose of Title I, Part C (Migrant) is to provide supplemental educational services for children of eligible families who migrate to find work in the agricultural, fishing and timber industries. This program is designed to assist migratory children in overcoming any educational disruptions, cultural and language barriers, social isolation or other factors that inhibit the ability of such children to do well in school. The goal is to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging, academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma (or complete a GED) that prepares them for responsible citizenship and productive employment.
