Greene College and Career Academy
The GCCA offers an exciting opportunity for the students of Greene and Taliaferro counties as well as the businesses in our communities. It is critical to not only grow our existing businesses, but also to attract new businesses to the state. The GCCA will be vital to this region’s economic development. It is the mission of the GCCA to generate a skilled and work-ready workforce whether a student chooses to attend college, start their career, or join the military.

Greene County Violin Program
The Greene County Violin Program is a program for students grades K-3 that allows children to learn how to play the violin in individual and small group settings. Students learn how to play songs by rote, gradually learning how to play songs by reading music.
“This is not just music education. The long-term effects on the family are positive and far-reaching”, says Pam Brasch, Executive Director of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. “It teaches a child cooperation, self-esteem…so many important qualities that children are not getting otherwise.”

Greene Foothills Charter High School
Greene Foothills Charter High School offers a unique opportunity to any student who wishes to earn an accredited Georgia High School Diploma. All Classes are held in the evening so that students can work during the day and attend school at night. Tuition is 100% FREE for students who enroll at Foothills full time. To better meet the different learning styles of students, Foothills offers a variety of course formats including textbook and web-based instruction. All methods provide self-paced, individualized mastery learning.

OdysseyWare
OdysseyWare is an online, web-based program available for accelerated learning, alternative learning, and credit recovery courses. An online curriculum enables students to achieve success, learn at an individualized level and benefit from an instructional experience and pace that meets their unique needs. Administrative and teaching tools gives the solutions and flexibility needed to individualize instruction and manage student data.

4-H District Project Achievement (DPA) Competition
Georgia 4-H Project Achievement empowers young people with skills for a lifetime. Students choose a project area of interest, research the topic, and write and present a presentation. 4-H’ers develop leadership, creativity, public speaking, record keeping, and other skills.
