Mission Statement of CMS Library Program
The Library Media Department of Carson Middle School promotes the development of independent reading habits and information literacy skills.  Our students will become critical readers who acquire, evaluate, and ethically use information to solve problems and investigate topics of interest.  To facilitate this mission, we will provide available, flexible, and inviting learning spaces and access to updated digital and print resources that represent diverse perspectives.  The library media specialist will collaborate with teachers and administrators to design learning experiences that support district goals and curriculum objectives.
